JOB OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Director of Energy and Utilities, the Electrical and Instrumentation Manager will provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to promote Suncor Energy's best practices and Standards.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Ensure safety of all staff, equipment and environment is your prime objective
- Act as the maintenance liaison between Operations and Reliability Engineering, particularly in day to day planning and scheduling
- Provides input for the development of the Maintenance Budgets as well work with the Management Team to steward the Maintenance budget monthly including Stewardship of maintenance performance indicators (KPI's)
- Review preventative and predictive maintenance programs to improve reliability and availability of production assets
- Review craft backlogs and ensure workforce is being adjusted accordingly. Also ensure backlog is being maintained in an effective manner
- Monitors daily activities (particular more critical tasks) & assess status/process
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:- Hold a related journeyman ticket (Red Seal) with a minimum of 5 years related supervisory or management experience in the Oil & Gas Industry or in a Utilities Power Plant environment
- Experience in managing and supervision of contractors
- Experience with budget & business plan development
Skills and Knowledge:- Must possess strong interpersonal skills, is a Self starter, highly motivated and enjoy working in a team environment
- Must demonstrate strong organizational and analytical skills as well a good business focus
- Understanding of the Environmental Health and Safety Standards and Policies would be preferred
- Strong knowledge and understanding of maintenance management methodologies
- Strong computer skills and complete knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs
- Demonstrated SAP Skills with mentoring capabilities to site staff
