Down Comforters

Any suggestions or ideas about what brand down comforter is a good one to buy from? Or, better yet, what to look for in a down comforter?

Is there really a difference between goose down and duck down? And, if it says pyrenese down, what the heck is that?

Does a higher fill number mean that the down comforter is better than one with a lower fill number?

And, how do you know if the down comforter has baffle box construction or not?

Got ours from Costoco - there are others that will be better, but we've been pleased.

Got our pillows and comforter from the Hutterites. Best ones we've had.

Go with a silk duvet. I picked one up in the Spring and love it so much more than my old down duvet.

We've had our Pacific Coast one (Costco, iirc, or maybe winners, they both had them) for 4 years and have been happy with it.

We got one from The Bay from my inlaws.

It has been good.

We've been really happy with ours from Ikea. It's a 2-in-1 model, where a thin duvet can detach from a thick one - which one you use (or both) depends on the season.
