Does anyone here drive a GM vehicle equipped with GM Oil Life System (GMOLS)?

It is suppose to tell you when to change the oil. Based on some criteria which I don't know. Has anyone had any problems with this and how many KM is average in Calgary to trigger this notification.

Thanks

A bit off topic but.....my old car, a 2000 cavalier ( don't get one of these is can afford not to) had some engine problems. GM rep said that burning 1 liter of oil for every 1500km's is within the acceptable limits for GM engines. I was like WTF, that means every 5000KM the normal limit for an oil change, you would need to add 4.5 liters~~ to a car that only takes 4 liters. WOW!!!

I got that in my car and it comes on every 5000K since last reset I think, regardless of the condition of the oil.
I know that because I go thru the quickie places and they never reset it so the light comes on even if I had just done an oil change.

I also have the tire pressure thing, now is that an annoying option or what.

Your first mistake was buying a Cavalier. Your second mistake was talking to the GM rep.
