Default LRT Accident- 7:15 am 9th street @ 4th ave NB

Accident just happened; NB train just hit a WB car. NB line is stopped just before the bridge into Sunnyside; doesn't look like SB should be affected.

And just saw a SB train go through. He did wait 1 extra light cycle before proceeding.

CT Supervisor is now on scene.

That should add to the fun for this commute. Hopefully nobody was hurt and they can get everything cleared up. And then smack the driver of the car for being an idiot.

Looks like the driver is OK. However I do believe he will reconsider his position on winter tires after this. I didn't see the accident, but it looks like he slid trying to stop for the red light, and slid right into the train.

Leaving for work at 6am is likely the best decision I'll make all day.

But it never snows here, if it does it melts the next day, it never gets icy, and winter tires are just in industry gimmick.

NB trains are now going through. I imagine there will be a bit of a backlog though.

Backlog was pretty bad in the core. Worse then usual (which is already terrible).

Took 20+ minutes or so to get from Erlton to 4th st

I couldn't count how many times I heard the above when I bought my winters back then.

made the LRT ride pretty tough. Had a midterm at 8 and I had to shove my way on to the train, I'm usually a nice guy but I'm pretty sure I pissed off a good 30 people this morning. There was a 0% chance I was missing that train because it said the next one was 25 minutes away. One guy was yelling at me so I started whistling.

You should have said you had a mid term and if you miss this train you wouldn't make it.

If someone was still pissy then you just light them on fire. Easy.

a good stinky fart will help you win new friends in a situation such as the above.
