Default Parise Having Trouble Getting the Rest He Needs

Zach Parise will get back from injury in just under two weeks and has already changed rosters twice since going on IR. He is now a member of the St. Louis Blues.

To SJ:
Brent Seabrook D, 27y 75ov
Andrew Ladd RW, 26y 68ov
2013 2nd (Dal)
Cash

To St.L:
Zach Parise LW, 27y 74ov
Bryan Allen D, 31y 67ov

While we may have given up a bit much here, I'm happy to get a player I love for a couple players I'm not particular fond of, although I think Seabrook is unfairly looked down on throughout the league. He'd be a #1 Dman on most teams that didn't have Keith at the helm. In fact, without the defensive depth the Blues have right now, this deal wouldn't have been possible. He played huge minutes for us and was great in any area of the ice.

The reason he was given up though sure is exciting. Upon returning from injury, Parise will step onto the top line with Lucic and Richards, or may even try to give McDonald a hand on the 2nd line. Either way, looking forward to injecting a true CPHL star winger into the forward corps as we're in need of some more offense.

Thanks to the San Jose for the very entertaining talks! He kept me on the edge of my seat the whole way but I got my guy in the end.

Knowing that we had zero intention of keeping Parise and having several offers to consider, we were happy to trade Parise to a team that "truly" wanted him.

We were doing everything we could to pursue a deal with a different team and no matter how we tried to tailor it to that GMs demands, it never came to fruition. During this time St. Louis had been working just as hard to get Parise from us and made it clear with the trade that ended up being accepted.

I am happy that on of us benefited from out hard work and equally as happy that the return for me was a bit over market price.

Thanks for the fun talks and persistence Ryan!

Parise's moral will be heading south of 40 now.

When the Hawks told Zach that we were shopping him around he requested that we try to make a deal with a west coast team. Which we ended up doing. He spefically asked us not to trade him to another midwestern team such as Colorado or St. Louis.

As for the trade, I like it for the Blues. As I have said before, I'm not that big of a Seabrook fan.
