Getting celebrities to show up at your event by creating a blog or website seems to be the popular thing to do these days, as this kind of thing has been happening quite a bit lately.

Mehn... there are lots of stars from the 80s that are not hitting the charts these days. The Madonna's of the world that still fill the stadiums are rare. Billy Idol played to a mid-sized venue here in Ottawa a couple years ago and it filled out quite well. I thought that was impressive that he was still able to pull in that size of a crowd without having a hit in about 20 years.

He did the Stampede concert a few years ago here and it was fantastic. One of the best shows I've ever seen was a smaller gig in Las Vegas at the Hard Rock hotel. He's still a great performer.

Yeah stuff like this isn't too uncommon. A lot of agencies out there cater to this type of thing.

I was more reffering to the Elton John wedding.
I'm pretty sure the Black Eyed Peas just played at someones wedding not too long ago.

As a complete aside, I often wonder what the attraction is for some 80's bands to play places like the deerfoot inn and casino.
Is it because after all these years they still like life on the road, is it the money, being in front of a crowd?
