Expect to see Sir Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Brent Spiner, Wil Wheaton, LaVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Marina Sirtis, Gates McFadden and Denise Crosby at a special ticketed event April 28 at the Stampede Corral as part of the three-day Expo festivities in Stampede Park.
Dubbed Star Trek TNG EXPOsed, the show, which marks the 25th anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation’s debut, will include a special video tribute to the cast, collectables for Next Generation fans, a commemorative program guide and an open mic Q&A with the stars, among other surprises
Quote:
“Who’s after Shatner in terms of Star Trek?” says Foong. “It’s Patrick Stewart, really. There’s no other option.”
Envisioning the potential for a Next Generation reunion on the show’s 25th anniversary, Foong began approaching cast members, gauging their level of interest.
“When Patrick signed on, within weeks almost everybody else signed on too,” says Foong.
Spiner adds: “It’s always been an event when we were together, I thought. But, I know what you mean, this is a commercial undertaking.” And, yes, he acknowledges, it’s the first time the principal cast has been reunited at a comic or sci-fi convention.

That's a pretty big get for a smaller expo like Calgary. Getting bigger every year, good to see. Last year was the first year I went to anything like it, and really enjoyed it.

It may not be possible to beam aboard the U.S.S. Enterprise but you’ll be getting the next best thing at the 2012 Calgary Comic and Entertainment Expo when we bring together the nine principle cast members from Star Trek: The Next Generation®.
Yes, you read that correctly.
Sir Patrick Stewart, Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Michael Dorn, LeVar Burton, Gates McFadden, Wil Wheaton and Denise Crosby will all be joining us at the Calgary Expo April 27-29, 2012.
We are also very proud to present Star Trek® TNG EXPOsed – a full-cast reunion of Star Trek: The Next Generation® to be held at the Calgary Stampede Corral on the evening of Saturday, April 28, 2012. This auspicious occasion marks the 25th anniversary of Star Trek: The Next Generation® and will be the first time in over twenty years that the cast has participated in an event such as this.
Included in the evening’s program, which will be hosted by the Calgary Expo’s mascot Emily Expo, is a 90 minute panel discussion and Q n’ A session moderated by InnerSPACE hosts Teddy Wilson, Ajay Fry and Cynthia Loyst, music by Johnny Summers Little Big Band and a video presentation in honour of the cast of Star Trek: The Next Generation®. A commemorative guide will produced solely for this event along with exclusive merchandise.
This is a separate ticketed event with tickets going on sale through Ticketmaster on February 18, 2012 at 10 AM MST. Although the cast will be participating in various panels throughout the course of the weekend, Star Trek® TNG EXPOsed will be the only opportunity to see all nine of the cast members in one incredible panel.

We have Nimoy and Shatner to thank as they've paved the way for the TNG cast

We really should turn this into a 2012 Expo thread as well... just looked on the site and noticed voice actors Billy West and John Dimaggio. They voice Fry and Bender from Futurama.. as well as countless other things.
The voice actors Q&A from last year was far and away the highlight for me.

Ah very nice, I'll have to see if Michael Dorn will be avaiable for a family dinner while he's in town. No, we're not really related, but maybe he doesn't know that.

This looks like it will be really fun, in a cheesy way.
I happened to be in Vulcan when Leonard Nimoy came and you could legitimately tell that this 80 year old guy thought the entire spectacle of a small prairie town decorated in his likeness was really something to behold. Everyone had their tongue firmly in cheek, Nimoy, the town counsel, the attendees, and everyone seemed to enjoy it for the spectacle that it was.
I hope this comic con is the same way. I'm told the Honky Tonk Man will also be attending, which would have been enough for me to go anyways.
