I think hell just froze over...
I was out at a meet up tonight and there was a girl there who I had just met as it was my first time there. well towards the middle of the night she came over to me and said I think you should text me and gave me her number  first time EVER a girl has given me her number (without me approaching first), I was flabbergasted...were now going dancing tomorrow

If there's one tiny positive aspect to that crappy Carly Rae Jepsen song being played everywhere, maybe it'll encourage young women to be a little more forward in initiating contact. It's a couple generations too late to be of use to me, but if it helps one of today's wallflowers get laid, then that song has done its job.
