It looks like google launched their April Fools "functionality" a bit too soon.

It was April 1st in places on Earth (UTC+14 time zone) 9 or 10 hours before your clock hit midnight in EST. Time does not start in Florida.

Was watching the YouTube shut-down prank video, and at the end they have a link to the nominees... it's actually a live stream of two YouTube employees announcing the descriptio of videos. It's stupid...yet somehow hilarious. They've apparently been going for an hour now since I've posted this lol

I wonder what percentage of people use their country-specific google sites vs. google.com. They could roll it out in each country as that country hits midnight, but maybe most people use the .com version anyway.

Does it not just direct you to your country specific one? In chrome when I type google.com it takes me to the canada one regardless....

I thought it would always direct you accordingly, or even if you did end up at the USA one, it would just do a canada search based off your ip....
