Now this is justice. Why can't we have sentences like that. Same with Madoff. Our canadian ponzi schemers got barely anything!
Welcome to Canada! You can be a bad ass and get away with it.

i wish Canada took a few cues from the US legal system regarding any kind of violence towards children
Quote:
Escalona's other children told authorities that their mother attacked Jocelyn Cedillo in September 2011 due to potty training problems. Police say she kicked her daughter in the stomach, beat her with a milk jug, then stuck her hands to an apartment wall with an adhesive commonly known as Super Glue.
Jocelyn suffered bleeding in her brain, a fractured rib, multiple bruises and bite marks, and was in a coma for a couple of days, a doctor testified at the sentencing hearing. Some skin had been torn off her hands, where doctors also found glue residue and white paint chips from the apartment wall.

Completely horrifying. A two year old? Truely disturbing. Can we just make all these people infertile?

Forced sterilization is not really that bad. I wish Harper would consider implementing it.

As horrendous as this is, a life sentence is too much. 30+ and never being able to see her children again would have been a fair sentence.

which is probably what will happen, there's no "without parole" stipulation in her sentence. with good behavior she'll probably be out in 10-20
