Sens stay busy, make another deal

GM Walsh wanted to make some changes before starting the season and for the 2nd time in as many days has made a trade with the Lightning. Tonight the Sens have shipped dman Sheldon Brookbank, prospect David Musil and 2014 mid round pick to Tampa for veteran dman Tomas Kaberle and AHL dman Taylor Chorney along with some cash.

We weren't able to upgrade our blueline enough in free agency so we had a goal to have 6 solid blue liners before the season and this move gives us a lot of depth of the blue line. With the acquisition of Kaberle and Coliacovo the Sens blue line now looks like:
Johnson-Bieska
Garrison-Kaberle
Oduya-Coliacovo

The Key to this deal for Tampa was adding a solid stay at home prospect in Musil who has a chance to make the Oilers if the NHL ever gets their act together.
