Default LF - Clean Firewood for Wood Stove

Hi All,

Starting the search for firewood. I installed a wood burning stove a few years back and run that for 80% of my heating needs in the winter.

Looking for clean seasoned birch or fir, preferred split. I will pick it up and looking for a good price but not looking for a freebie.

(Although Free would work too lol)

Have you tried Burnco? Fairly decent prices and the wood is pretty good.

If you have a truck (I assume you do, since you can pick up) and a chainsaw, buy a $5 permit and cut up to 5 cubic meters.

5 cubic meters is a LOT of wood.

I'm thinking about it but, and this may sound lame, time is a premium especially in the fall.

Should get to it sooner I suppose...thanks for the info though.

I get a permit and harvest my own firewood for camping (saves a ton of money). You may have trouble finding birch in the areas they specify tho...
