[Signing] Jose Theodore signs a 2 year contract with the L.A. Kings ($1.4M AAV)

TSN reports that the Los Angeles Kings have signed free agent goaltender Jose Theodore to a 2 year contract worth $1.4M per season.

The Kings issued a statement saying that while Michal Neuvirth remains their #1 goaltender, they don't expect, nor do they want to make him play every game this season, and that Theodore provides the Kings with a reliable backup goaltender that can step in and play.

I suspect a goaltending controversy in 2 weeks. Theodore will start winning you games and neuvirth will continue to lose you winnable games.

Other way around last night. Put Theodore in for the first game...it was winnable, and he lost it for me. I think it was like 17 saves on 22 shots. Hoping its just him getting the rust off.

And then Neuvirth goes out and makes 24 saves on 25 shots in the next one and wins it for me!
