After struggling to prevent goals becoming more of a problem than scoring, and Sedin having only scored 1 goal in 5 games, it was decided he was the player to be moved to bring in defensive help. While downgrading a lot, the Blues added two young, solid defensive Dmen and a bunch of picks.

I wanted to ensure I got back at least as much as I gave up for the Canuck diving twin and I believe I did after getting a couple of opinions. Funny that both deals involved a Schenn though!

I wouldn't say definitely yet, but you're most likely right. That's why there was some extra assets involves to make up for that fact.

I got this as a win for sjs. Schenn and the other guy I can spell on my phone are ok pieces but neither has top pairing potential IMO. Sedin is a damn good player, although it pains me to say that.
