Default On the road again... in Afghanistan. Pics from my bro-in-law

As you can see, from a lot of the pics below, motor vehicle accidents extremely common place in this country. Hardly a day goes by that my brother-in-law doesn't see some huge f-ups on the road. Driving camels one day to driving semis the next.

I'm surprised at how good the roads themselves look. I've driven on major highways in Saskatchewan that were a lot worse than that.

If opium wasn't so much more lucrative, it looks like they've got the potential for some pretty nice wine country over there.

Mind you, not sure how much draw alcohol would be around those parts.

Beautiful country. It's geography looks very similar to the Kamloops area.

Perhaps he read it in a derogatory we, not that re-run meant it in that way, but he may have read it as "camel jockey"
