NHL 13 DEMO Thoughts

Since the NHL 13 Demo is hours from release, I thought I'd open a thread so that when everyone wakes up and plays it, they'll have a place to talk about it.

Just an FYI I'll be posting in-depth gameplay/commentaries as soon as I get my hands on the demo, and I'm not planning on sleeping.

There already is a place to talk about it, the NHL 13 thread. Good discussion happening there, may as well keep it going.

Why do they have to be?

The NHL 13 Thread can be used all the way past the games release right up until NHL 14 whereas this is for the demo, til the 11th, so people have a more relevant and specific place to discuss their findings on the demo as opposed to it being mixed in with the anxious anticipation of NHL 13 in that thread.

I'm staying up, waiting, waiting, Uhh, they say 5 AM EST, but who knows? So in 10 minutes I'm hoping to be downloading it, but I guess we'll see.

Ass! My Dashboard reset so I thought they updated it. Nope, but hopefully that means maybe the update started. Gah, can't wait!

And, to add, I want to specifically know what everyone thinks about the demo, the new gametypes, etc.

Discussing the demo and anxious anticipation for the game are often one in the same. The NHL 13 thread should encompass all things NHL 13, including the demo and beyond that. Just my two cents. I'll be sure to throw in my impressions tomorrow.

I find some of those threads to be quite overwhelming the longer they get.

I understand exactly what you're saying. I made this more because I want to know what people think only of the demo, basically, I know all I need to know about NHL 13.. Just wanted peoples thoughts secluded from the other threads.

But, if it's that big a concern I couldn't care much if this was deleted and everyone talked in there, but, hey, whatever, not that big a difference.

Now there's an idea. There seems to be enough NHL 13 related threads scattered everywhere, it would be nice to have them in a dedicated board.

According to EA Sports Tweets It sounds like its up to Playstation Network and xBox Live for when its available

I really wish my xBox's Wired connection was working. I cant even log into xbox live.

Xbox, always xbox for me. I own a PS3 don't play it much. Yeah, they're a pain. Mine broke, I'm on my 3rd now, bought the star wars bundle. And its awesome.

donutz, the reason why a lot of people are against a separate thread for this is because every september the tech talk forum would get dominated by nhl related threads. it might be a bit better this year as the eashl and gm connected threads are in the other subforum.

though if anyone notices when the playstation update drops, please post on here. i was reading that the 'normal' time is about 5pm est. is that accurate? i rarely pay attention to whats out there, so i have no idea. i thought back in the day it was around noon est.

It will probably be around 5PM your time. That was roughly when the Madden demo came out.

Dobbs, you might like this year more. Much harder to cut at full speed and poke checks work overly well. Hitting is a bit better and turning my back doesnt result in bouncing off the check.

However I think the AI is just as ######ed as ever being that I can pretty much score at will in the demo, I hope to god the difficulty gets jacked up.
