A Modest Desktop Uprgade
I'm just looking to do a modest upgrade to my Home desktop.
Basically just Processor and Hard Drive.
For the processor, I have a socket 775 motherboard, and would rather not upgrade that. What is some of the better 775 CPU's? My price range is more along the lines of the Core2 Duo 8500 or the Core2 Quad 6600?
I don't really want to go into the higher 200 dollar range for a CPU. I'm currently running a Pentium dual core E7200 (Maybe 5200?) overclocked to 3.0, and it seems to be dogging it.
As for Hard drive I want to go for an SSD\rotating combo for OS and data.
What are some of the good SSD's? Intel seems good? Is OCZ decent? I think 60 gb is too small and the 256gb ones are too expensive, so probably a 128gb SSD is what I will be looking for.
