JOB OVERVIEW
The Environmental Advisor will form part of a team of professionals to participate in the ongoing development of the Operational Excellence Management System.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES- Provide advice and support to the operating areas to satisfy environmental regulatory requirements
- Liaise with regulators
- Collaborate on environmental projects
- Participate on Environmental On-Call rotation to provide environmental expertise outside of normal business hours
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:- A minimum of 3-5 years experience working in the environmental department of an industrial facility is preferred
- Degree in science or Engineering from a recognized university is preferred
- A technical diploma in a science program with practical experience will also be considered
Skills and Knowledge:- Working knowledge of pertinent provincial and federal regulatory Acts and Regulations (e.g. EPEA, CEPA and OSCA) would be beneficial
- Strong technical, communication and interpersonal skills
WORKING CONDITIONS- This position is located at our base plant 25 km from Fort McMurray
- Transportation to and from site is provided
- This is not a Camp position
