Pierre McGuire answered your question with a solid response.

Use Netflix and complain about the lack of quality movies like everyone else.

Edit: Well, it looks like this thread isn't done.

I don't know if it is available in Canada, but I like renting/buying from amazon, can watch on my built in tv app, ps3, pc, kindle fire or iPad. Also a couple bucks cheaper than the cable company.

Do you ever catch yourself complaining about the quality of Netflix and then stop yourself because you're being a complete #######?

I do. I'm complaining because my $8 vault of movies delivered over the internet starts movies off blocky. I'm so spoiled.

Yes you can. The rentals are available to watch for 4 weeks. However once you start them they're only valid for 48 hours. In that 48 hours you can watch as many times as you like.

Prices are between $4-6 per movie (IIRC), and every once in a while you'll see sales for 99 cent rentals.

Netflix with a US VPN account is 10x better then the Canadian one. Sure you pay extra for the VPN, but it's a snap to setup and the content is far superior. Hidemyass.com even has a 30 day trial to test it out.

I have it setup on my Boxee Box which has native VPN support. I literally go into the network settings, enter the US IP, username and password and hit connect. Bam, US Netflix.

I came to this thread after visiting the why Canadians hate America thread ( or whatever it's called) ... just made me giggle a little.
