Default LF: Sat, July 14 Calgary Herald

This may come off as as bit of an odd request, but here goes:

I'm looking for someone who hasn't thrown out the Herald from last Saturday (July 14). My daughter was born that day and had some issues so I forgot to go out to buy one. I did it for my son when he was born, it was something I thought they'd really like in the future -- reading the paper from the day they were born.

Is there anyone who happens to have the Saturday paper left over? This would be greatly appreciated by me.

Did you contact The Herald? They might keep them or be able to do something for you. I'm thinking they might reprint the front page for you or something like that.

The Herald will give you a free copy or copies. Just call. My son got a hole in one a couple of years ago and my wife recycled it before I could save the article. Called them up and they had a copy sitting there waiting for me. Just had to go pick it up.

Yes the Herald should have back issues. I accessed them regularly in a previous job.

Your first going to have to explain what a newspaper is to your children when they are old enough.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. Final answer was to go to the Herald office, they have around 6 months back issues available at the front desk.

Hope my daughter enjoys the 50" LCD tv ads.

(the newspaper from the day I was born had ads for 21 inch colour TVs for $500, and mortgage interest rates from 12% and up. You used to be able to search through Google, but they stopped archiving papers.)
