Biggest Loser Iceland results! Mighty Thor is back
Well the 200 days are over and we had our finale show last night. It was an amazing day and we saw some huge results, the champion Jóhanna won by a meager .2% and the top 3 girls looked like completely new people.
I was voted out 5th last, we were 3v3 boys and girls and unfortunately the won a key challenge and then picked us off one by one.
In the home championship I came 2nd to Jónas my buddy and he was well deserving, my final results were 49kg/108 pounds lost (1 short of my goal) and 27.4% if I can remember correctly. Started at 176.5kg/ 388 pounds and weighed in yesterday at 127.5kg / 281 pound  107 pounds less!
Special thanks to Don aka Devils Advocate on CP, he's been an inspiration for me and helped me along my journey!

Congratulations Thor! Well done.
You deserve some thanks as well. Your openess about this entire experience was inspirational to me. I decided to do something about myself as well.
I don't know exactly what I weighed when I started, but I have lost at least 25 pounds since the first of the year, completely eliminated pop/soda (which I believed at the time I was addicted to) and have moved to a healthier diet. I've accomplished this with very little additional exercise incorporated into my days. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens when I actually start to physically push my body again on a daily basis.
In any case, thanks for being a part of my motivation.

Knowing what I do about the body, and the challenges of losing weight, what you have done is probably one of the hardest things anyone can do. It's at the level of quitting smoking for me. You literally have to change your metabolic responses, types and amounts of cellular proteins, and the way your brain thinks about and chemically responds to food. It really is a complete transformation of yourself and you should be incredibly proud of your accomplishments.
And to everyone else out there with similar challenges, just know this…it CAN be done. Don't lose hope.

Way to go Thor! I know the trials of losing a good chunk of a wieght and it is most definitely not easy. Disciplining the eating habits is a struggle for sure. Keep it up!
