Default roof cargo boxes

looking into buying one of of these for the SUV. I see online they are quite a bit cheaper but in good fashion I procrastinated so that isn't an option. So far I am looking at racks unlimited but wanted to double check to see if anyone knew of a better place.

thinking about going for one of the Thule boxes.

I believe that Thule products in general are very good quality.

I would guess that the best price would be had at can tire or Costco, if they carry this item.

If you normally park your vehicle in a garage, you might want to give yourself some type of reminder not to wheel into your garage with the unit attached to your roof.

A lot of people buy these for trips and then sell them at a discounted price afterwards on places like Kijiji. You might find a good deal if you don't mind buying used.

Did a quick search for an example; http://calgary.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehi...AdIdZ398090324

Sticking with Thule or Yakima you can't really go wrong. We have a skybox 18 and it'll work on pretty much any style bar you have.

How much does to cost to attach the bars so you can use roof racks.

I bought a roof box from Canadian Tire last year, and only got to use it once. I think it's the Explorer model from Sport Rack. Paid $129.99 I think.

If you're interested, send me a PM.

I had the Sport Rack Explorer, and I wouldn't recommend it. It has great capacity and is cheap, but that's about it. It's too wide and with too-thin plastic to really have much integrity, unless you're prepared to bungi-cord the hell out of it. Any time we were going highway speeds with a cross-wind, it would flex in the wind and eventually pop open. The temporary solution I used was to get a bunch of C-clamps and just clamp down the edges, but I've since read about people cutting plywood inner parts for it to give it more structure.
If I was buying one again, I'd definitely pay the extra money for a Thule.
