Default Garage Door Problem

I tried googling this issue, with little luck so far.

I have a wooden garaged door, with four steel ribs running horizontally across the door on the inside. The ribs are held to the door by self tapping cap screws. A bunch of the screws are coming out and I was wondering what the best way to repair this issue is.

I could go with bigger cap screws, however eventually the same will likely happen.

I looked at home depot tonight at some kind of metal anchor, but the ones I bought did not seem like they will work.

The last solution I can think of, is drill ,thru the door, and put in carriage bolts. Aesthetically this is not the best option, as I have a typical garage in front home in new Brighton.

Any other thoughts from the collective?

PL Premium construction adhesive. Downside is it will bond permanently to the screws and anything else it touches, so if the wood is weak then it will fail instead of the fastener. Anchoring through the door seems to be the best way.

Carriage bolts are the only real answer for a lasting effect, the good news is they come in a lot of colors see if you can find one that matches your door.(or just paint them)
