Does anyone watch these guys? I find their views on American politics to be a breath of fresh air! They speak the truth for the most part and they may some times have a liberal bias, but I find that they are pretty fair with their coverage
I don't like watching their youtube videos at all. I feel they are worse than Fox News for bias in their reporting. I also hate how they really think they are funny and hip, when it's just very annoying in my eyes.

Meh, to each their own. I find them to be pretty entertaining and informative. Yeah i can see how they come off looking that way to you, but I think its just the way they come at the stories, they are very laid back and don't take themselves too seriously
However i don't agree with you on the bias as fox news, These guys point out when they are being biased and they often play devil's advocate. Fox news never even acknowledges their bias and even proclaims to be fair.
Also Young Turks uses credible sources, fox news has been known to fabricate lies
I thought J epworth kendal wrote, I don't like watching youtube videos at all. I feel they are worse than Fox News my brain remove the "their" for some reason. So basically I started ranting about how someone would prejudice themselves against Youtube for no reason.
I get my YouTube news fix from /Pajamasmedia and US political commentary from them as well as /BillWhittleChannel (definitely Right biased, which is fine by me).
With the exception of my hate for religion and desire to see drugs legalized (even though I don't drink or do drugs), anything slightly left of center makes me sick. I can't stomach TYT for too long, though I used to watch a bit of Cenk when I was young and naive. He seems like a likable guy though, outside of his political commentary.
Young Turks is quite enjoyable, Cenk can be annoying at times and they have failed pretty badly on a few stories regarding facts, but all in all for a youtube program they are usually right on the mark with covering stories.

Yay cyber-polarization and myopia!

I'd love to know what your reply would have been if my post was more aligned with shoving my nose up the arse of the ever-infesting left-biased media.
I played both sides of the fence at various points in my life. Like I said, when I was naive I was very liberal. I'm older now and have had more years to observe what's happening around me.
For the values that I naturally gravitate towards and am peace with, there is no use in forcing myself towards some hippy agenda that I don't believe in.
If I'm in a bar with one hot broad surrounded by ugly pigs, myopia works quite well in filtering out the garbage.

So asking for truth and accountability for ones actions is now considered a hippy agenda?
I have no political bias for not liking them, I just can't get past the annoying host's and crappy production value to even get into the content they provide.

It would have been exactly the same. The biggest problem in today's political climate is that people on both sides of the spectrum are only interested in opinions that reaffirm what they already believe. Not to go all peter12 here, but the Socractic Method is pretty much dead.

Actually, you're probably just self-serving.

No, but there is value in continuous self-evaluation and questioning of one's own beliefs.

A better analogy is the guy who orders the same thing every time he goes to a restaurant.

People do have to go out of their way today to find news that might not sit well with their ideology, its a problem and something I think about a lot when trying to keep myself informed.
