thoughts on this laptop...

A friend wants to buy her 19 year old a laptop for her birthday, told her I would keep an eye out for any deals... this one came in my inbox from redflag/dell... I'm really not sure about pricing and processors in laptops these days... on the surface seems like a good deal and fits her budget...

just looking for some opinions/thoughts.

Vostros are dells business class so they tend to be a bit better built structurally. This laptop has a smaller HDD but at just over $400 I would say dollar for dollar it is a great deal. I am sure she would be happy with it especially at that price point.

Processor is showing its age. If this 19 year old is anything like any other teenage kids I know, it might be lacking for some desired activities, like games, but not by much.

For everything else that most people use a computer for (Web, Word and Wacking), it should be fine.
