Jays are in tough... though the Rangers have had a pretty poor May by their standards. Morrow has gotten shelled for the most part this year when facing decent hitting clubs - Rangers in their home park, will probably be his toughest test this year.
7-4 Rangers
5-2 Rangers
4-3 Blue Birds

Would be nice to steal 2/3.
I'm confident we can win tonight and Colby Lewis has really struggled in his last few AL starts perhaps we can knock him around in the second. The combination of Drabek getting no support and Darvish being the type of pitcher the Jays will probably always struggle against has me thinking we have no chance in the third.

I'm thinking a 2-1 series win here. I really hope we don't come out of Texas with one win and everyone is like 'well I guess we were lucky to get one!' If we are going to try to make a run at the wild card this year, this attitude has to be left in 2011. Every series we should be looking to win and not be pleased if we don't get it, even against strong teams.

So what's the deal with Gomes playing 1B?

It's nice to see the Jays give Cooper another shot to see if he has any value as a MLB player. It's likely no, but why not see if he can be an OBP machine. Worst case is that you completely write him off and get rid of him.
It might also allow McDade more of an opportunity to see if he can become a good MLB player. (He's a good defensive 1B who is now finally starting to show the power that he had the potential to develop.)

Rangers May has been odd, things don't seem to have been firing like they were in April.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Jays took 2. That said I've been rocking the Kinsler jersey all day.
The biggest thing for those betting on Pro-Line, if Torrealba is the starting catcher the odds of a Jays win goes up. I like Torrealba but he doesn't call a game like Napoli

Cooper is just going to come off the bench it sounds like. Interesting series with the way the Rangers have playing, still think they're easily the best team in baseball.

Ian Kinsler is so good. One of the best hitters in baseball and just as valuable as Hamilton. This could get really ugly

Ugly. For a team that took such pride in poudning the zone and challenging hitters, the Jays pitchers have easily been the leagues worst when it comes to walks.

Ouch. Morrow only makes it 2/3's. With the Rangers offense, this could reach the high teens. At least we can just focus on the hockey game tonight.

Impressive stat: That was the 5th time this season #Rangers have scored six or more in one inning. Three of those have been in the first.

Hope Morrow is OK, he looked all around off tonight - control and velocity.
Best thing I can say about tonight for the jays, Hetch and D'Arnaud are continuing to kill it in Vegas, 2/3 with 3 RBIs and 3/4 with a HR tonight for the 51s.
This losing streak needs to get snapped fast or they could fall out of the AL East quick.
