Anyone ever been in the situation where your pension is NOT vested and the company you are working for is sold before your pension does vest.

Would the pension vest automatically at the closing of the sale or would it remain unvested until the original vesting date?

I guess it would also depend on what the buyer is willing to take on as well.

Thanks

1.5 years and it vests at the 2 year mark. Not sure if I want to stick it out with the new buyer. But its some decent money to walk away from.
