Default QUICK - Need a restaurant reccomedation for Calgary

Hey guys,

Awfully short notice, but looking for a newer, nice restaurant to take my fiance for our anniversary. We have done The Keg, Shark Club, etc - but looking for something a little more fresh. Price range is somewhere between $100-150 incl. drinks. Doesn't really matter the food, as long as there is some variety (steak, chicken, etc.)

Thanks for the help!

Notable, Charcut, Alloy.

Also Catch, my buddy is the executive chef and I like what he's done since he took over there.

Raw Bar at Hotel Arts - you can sit by the pool if the weather is nice.

Casual. Great menu, and best cocktails in town. There may be a DJ inside, later on the weekends.

I always liked Buon Giorno on 17th Ave SW (near Mt Royal)

Not pricey, not fancy, but the Italian food is great!

P.S. Dress is casual.

Can any of you update me quickly on dress code - we have a good day of adventure planned, so dress pants/dress probably are outta the question. Does this change any of your reccomendations?

Thanks again!

Alloy might not be for you two. It's not uptight, but you should dress "business casual(ish)"

Nope. As long as you're not dressed like a hobo.

Like jeans and a polo shirt - not shorts and running shoes.

I'm not sure about Alloy, but all my other suggestions are totally acceptable for a nice pair of jeans and a shirt (doesn't even have to be collared).

I wear jeans to any upscale restaurant in Calgary..As long as you're wearing a nice shirt nobody's ever said anything to me.
