Havent seen anything on the news yet, but a local woman was out jogging by her acreage here in Stettler and was shot by a man after she refused to get in his vehicle.

Hopefully they find the coward.

Any word on if the victim is okay or not? I grew up in Stettler and have lots of friends there still.

RCMP is investigating after a woman was shot at on a street in a town east of Red Deer.
The incident happened at about 9:00 a.m. on Monday when a woman was shot at as she walked along a road in Stettler.
Police have cordoned off a rural area of Highway 12 between Coronation and Castor where they have surrounded the man they believe is the suspect.
Investigators say the woman was walking in a ditch when a man in a truck pulled up beside her and shot at her before fleeing the scene.
The woman was airlifted to Foothills Hospital in Calgary.
There is no word yet on the condition of the woman.

They just had an update on the CFCN news at 6:00 PM. RCMP are said to have a chopper in the air and the suspect is apparently hiding in a 2 km square wooded area. Still no update on the Woman's condition.
