Question Need a good arborist.

I have looked through the phone book and the interweb as I need a reliable tree surgeon - there are so many out there so I thought I would try to get a personal referral. Can anyone recommend a good tree removal company? Also any ideas on cost to fell and stump grind a 35ft fir tree? Thanks in advance for any help. We are in SW Calgary (Cedarbrae).

A guy off my baseball team recommended his buddy. I've used his service twice and have still never met him in person. I tell him what I want done, he gives me a quote, I let him know that is fine, then a couple days later I get home from work, the job is done (and fully cleaned up) and the invioce is in my mailbox.

I think it was Pinnacle Tree Service, but I will need to check the invoice tonight to be sure.

I'm going to bump this hilarious thread, as I need an ARBORist myself. Any current recommendations?

I highly recommend Maximum Tree Care. Here is the website:

http://www.maximumtreecare.com/

Owner/operator's name is Max. He's an experienced arborist, a close friend of mine and a really great guy.

I know this post is 3 years old, but reading it in the context of the alternate thread title is amazing.

This guy is very 'interesting':

He knows his stuff for sure - not sure how his quotes would compare.

Weird, a month ago I had no idea what this profession was until one of our salespeople quit to become one. I thought it was a joke when he first told me.
