Congrats to Team Canada!

Do you think they'll be able to break Team USA's tournament shutout streak?

This is great news. Women's soccer has its place in the Olympics - unlike the men's tournament.

Sinclair is a special player - such a game changer. It sounds like she's the favorite to be Canada's flag-bearer at the opening ceremonies.

Good for Team Canada.

I typically can't stand soccer, but I did get into that game last night. Those girls have a lot of heart.

It think it's because there's no diving in women's soccer

Not a better choice to be had. She embodies everything the Olympics were founded on and supposed to be about....even if the whole thing has gotten away from that these days.

This is such an odd tournament. The final is utterly meaningless, as the prize is won in the semi-finals.

But congrats to the Canadian women!

It is but not uncommon. Some events they don't even play the final. Or if 3 teams go then the 3rd place game is the be all end all.

But it's Canada vs USA, might be a fun game with no defense and no nervousness!

3-0 USA 30 mins in to it.

I know it is a somewhat meaningless game - the Canadians can move up in the rankings if they win - but Cabada has no pace. The US seem so much faster. Rest could be a factor too I guess.

After winning such a big game against Mexico I would have been stunned if they could have beat the USA. They could still comeback I suppose but they already accomplished their goal so I think it would be more than a little easy to just not have it this game.

Well done by them though. Nothing but good no matter how the final finishes.
