Default Local Hockey Leagues

My team is currently in the NCHL and has been for 3 years now.

We are thinking of switching to another league in the future and have done some basic research (cost, # of games, average game time, arena locations, etc etc).

Now I just want to gain some personal insight into other leagues. Whats the good/bad/etc.

I play on a team in the Calgary men's hockey association. To me it is great as we get 1.5 hr ice slots, lots of games at 7 and 8, league is well run, Refs and timekeepers almost always show.......only downside is the Sunday ice time at 10 at Ernie Starr.....

i have played in cnchl, smaller dressing rooms, decent ice times, low amount of teams so there is a big gap in skill, best part though for me is all games are in west hill hurst at the arena so no travelling all over the place.

this summer we will be playing in the league at COP, from the schedule the game times are VERY good, all games at COP with a new facility and alot of teams to make the gap in skill less, i am looking forward to it.

that is all of my experience haha

Last summer I played in a strictly COP league and it was great. The only downside is when all 4 rinks are in use, it is hard to find parking.

Thought I'd pop in here and drop an invite.

I'm looking for a couple more skaters for my CAHL summer league team. We're looking at starting in the D division, it's $250 for 15-18 games, late May-Late August.

If anyone's interested or knows anyone who is, fire me a PM.
