I'm going out tonight to buy a pool cue. I don't know much about all the new grafite ones or whatever. My budget is about 350ish. Anyone have any suggestions?

Three-hundred-and-fifty-dollars?

O_o

How much for just one?

What can a graphite cue possibly do for you? Is a wood one too heavy? You don't need a cue to flex do you? Pretty soon, billiards will have to change the rules, and make the pockets smaller, and remove the dots at each end of the table.

Graphite cues don't warp. Wood ones can and are susceptible to weather and humidity.

Haha I just saw this after I got out of FDW's thread, I think he'd freak out at you for spending this kinda change on a pool cue if he ever read this

Ok, that makes some sense .. thanks. Still seems like a lot of dough though. But I am a guy that uses Walmart special golf clubs. :boh:

Mike's billiards used to have a decent selection, not sure if they still do. Be sure that a graphite cue is what you're really looking for, one of my teammates had one and the strange "ping" noise that seems to come from all graphite cues drove him nuts.
