Beau Schmitz: undrafted OHL Free agent

Recently voted 2nd best defensive defenceman and 3rd best offensive defenceman in the western conference of the OHL by the coaches.
While he isn't the biggest guy, he's a good skater who is pretty strong and moves the puck very well.
I could see him turning into a good #5 d-man similar to Andrew Ference.
With the Flames being pretty thin in terms of pro-ready D prospects (other than Leach), maybe this could be a good way to restock the cupboard.

Not a big fan of Schmitz to be honest... Ference put up much higher junior points than he did.
