Congrats to the Ducks and Habs for advancing. Two series will go the distance!

great stuff in the CPHL playoffs!

in AHL news, looks like the Pirates despite badly outshooting their opponents again, lost out in game 6. Brian Boucher definitely the difference in this series.

With the Pirates out a postmortem on the Sabres season to follow shortly

Wayne Simmonds came up big in this one with two points in 5:55 of ice time from the fourth line. Pekka Rinne has been phenomenal the past three games. Shots were 49-46 in this 3-1 win! Thanks go to Washington for a great series.

Wow the Ducks played a hard fought game and manage to win the series 4-2. I was definitely worried we would head to a game 7 but thankfully Ward and the team stepped up to get the win. I swapped Weber and Suter in the D pairings and both guys scored a goal with Suter getting the games 1st star. Thanks to LA for a tough/fun series!

Flames have 7 players injured.

13 players with conditioning under 100 and a Defensive core full of guys rated 52 overall and they are still handing us our asses.

In 6 games Calgary has taken just 5 penalties

It comes down to a one game showdown where anything can happen. Some tinkering with the strategies needs to be done where I think I can expose Cheese's D-men that are led by Cory Cross and Nick Fotiu.

Islanders came back from being down 3 games to 1 to force a game 7 however it may be all for not as we lost Andy McDonald in the 3rd period with a broken right arm. Islanders have won before without him but this is a big blow. We have been lucky all year on the injury front until the playoffs with losing Kunitz (all be it only 3 games) and now McDonald for the rest of the playoffs. In all likelyhood McDonald has played his last game for the Islanders as he will be a UFA. This rough rivalry series with the Rangers has taken its toll.

Its all about the coaching and GM. Sarich has played awesome defence...a great leader.
