Flames played an excellent game, however Halak stole this game for the Wings stopping 32 (THIRTY TWO) shots in the 3rd period alone.
Flames oustshoot the Wings 50-31 and soften them up for their trip to the Saddledome.

Scored late to push it to OT but couldn't pull out the win. Couple more injuries but nothing of significance.

1-1 heading back to Dallas

Sens win game 2, 4-1! Lead series 2-0.
Once again the Sens were lead by Staal, Krejci, Lecavalier and Savard who all had 2 points. MA Fleury wasn't nearly as busy as game 1, made 21 saves.

Big game 3 for the Jets tomorrow.

The Jackets played much better outshooting the Stars 39-27 and tying up the series 1-1. The Stars made it interesting late but THE TJ Oshie was the hero in overtime. The line adjustments and slider shifting seemed to spark the boys as the top 3 lines all got in on the scoring with the 3rd line being the best of the night.

Late season pickup Danny Cleary scored two goals in the win. Ryan Miller has been OK but he can be better and will have to be if the Jackets are to pull it off in round 1.

The Stars have done an excllent job keeping the Jackets PP off the ice so we'll have to try and play a little more physical to get some more PP opportunities.
3 Stars

1 - Daniel Cleary (CBJ)
2 - Alex Tanguay (DAL)
3 - Marc-Antoine Pouliot (DAL)

Power Play

Dallas Stars - 0 on 2 Attempt(s) - 0.00%
Columbus Blue Jackets - 0 on 0 Attempt(s) - 0.00%
Penalty Kill

Dallas Stars - 0 on 0 Attempt(s) - 0.00% - Score 0 goal in Penalty Kill
Columbus Blue Jackets - 2 on 2 Attempt(s) - 100.00% - Score 0 goal in Penalty Kill

Nashville squeaks past the Canucks for a 2-0 lead in the series. Kipper was the games first star and kept the Preds in it long enough for Colby Armstrong to work his OT magic! Tomorrow will be interesting as its the first game back in Nashville, where the Canucks oddly have a better chance!

Backstrom stole this one for the Caps, who have been very effective in shutting down our top line so far. Time to switch it up. Also, our powerplay has been pretty anaemic.

Unknown player had 3 points and was +5 again for the Admirals in their defeat of my Bulldogs.

Rangers 3 - Islanders 1

Series
Rangers 2 - Islanders 0

Well home ice does not seem to be an advantage so far in this series.... Rangers were without Jussi Jokinen for 3 weeks or so due to injury. He was activated shortly before the end of the season resulting in a total different team.

3 Stars

1 - Ondrej Pavelec (NYR)
2 - Jussi Jokinen (NYR)
3 - Jamal Mayers (NYR)

Power Play

New York Rangers - 0 on 1 Attempt(s) - 0.00%
New York Islanders - 0 on 3 Attempt(s) - 0.00%

Game Notes

Willie Mitchell and Todd Bertuzzi fight to a draw at 14:16 of 1st period
Chris Kunitz is injured at 8:10 of 2nd period (Bruised Right Leg)
Tyler Myers is injured at 3:00 of 3rd period (Sprained Right Knee)
Willie Mitchell ejected from game at 10:34 of 3rd period

Good show, as usual regular season means nothing, instead of "Thanks for the Memories" it is "Thanks for the Injuries". Were outshooting the Rangers in both games but Pavelec is showing up Lundy. Next game is most critical.

Ducks pick up another win and take a 2-0 lead in the series. What a terrible 3rd period though as we got outshot 17-0. We have relied heavily on Ward and need to figure out a way to limit the shots on goal!

Even the series but is there going to be anyone left to play. Stephen Weiss goes down and will be out the rest of round one.
Halak seems to be showing some fatigue so we will roll out our 1b goalie tomorrow.
The lack of depth really shows now with a bunch of scrub AHL'ers forced into th lineup.
