Me too. I just switched to bb50 too. I guess I should switch back to my router instead of the wifi one thatvshaw gives. Could that be the problem?

That Cisco router is the biggest POS I've ever used. Even worse for you....your old router won't work for BB50 (I tried the other night).

Hahaha, it's funny that people are slagging the Cisco - over at dslreports.com, it was the SMC that everyone was slagging out of the gate, and people were frantically calling Shaw trying to switch over to the Cisco.
I guess both suck, but that's what bridge mode was invented for.

The biggest problem I have seen with the Cisco is the fact that if you change the SSID or key, the stability of your connection goes way down.

I've been really lazy, my SMC is a dud and I need to go exchange it for something else with Shaw. I can't even change the SSID on mine. It's completely locked down and without Shaw's administrative account, I can't do anything. I actually threw it in the closet and went back to the old Motorola.

Shaw's routing for me was all messed up a few days ago. Some sites would ping ~60-90ms, while others with 900ms+ for seemingly no reason. It has gotten better though.

seems to be back to normal now, so I'll chalk it up to shaw being shaw and denying any local area problems they may have had...
thanks all

Absolutely South Calgary problems with Shaw today. Internet / phone disruption at work on South Macleod trail and slow cable box response and channel switching now at home in Shawnessy.

I also had problems on Monday night, but with my phone. No dial tone or just a busy signal. I used twitter to contact support (which was awesome), and he got it back up, but sent a tech anyway because he said my signal strength was low. The tech came yesterday, and told me something big happened Monday afternoon because they had a huge spike in support calls, but he really hasn't had to fix anything. The problems have just sort of gone away. He didn't know what the exact problem was though.
