Player - He won't win, but props to Drew Stafford this week. 4 GP, 3 Goals, +3, 8 hits, 1/1 on faceoffs, first and third star performances this week.

Defenseman - Christian Ehrhoff: 4 GP, 1G, 1A, 2 Pts, +3, 6 blocked shots. Ehrhoff anchored the top D unit this week as Keith was bumped down to the second unit halfway through due to fatigue.

Goalie - Pekka Rinne: 3 GP, 3 W (2 in shootouts), 1.89 GAA, 0.939 SV%, 1 goal allowed in 8 shootout attempts. Given the second star in a game where he stopped 41 of 42 shots. Rinne played these three games in four nights, propelling us back into the playoffs.

Unsung - Tomas Kopecky: 4 GP, 2 G, +1, 9 shots from the 3rd and 4th lines. 63 OV

Unsung: Rod Pelly (58OV) 2G 1A 3Pts +3 with 1 game winning goal. New to the team this week, Rod was the only bright spot for the Stars. Playing 3rd line minutes, Rod had a game winning goal and maintained the highest +/- rating on the team while also notching the most points - Not bad for a 58OV

Nashville Nominations:

Player: Antoine Vermette - Since coming to the Preds he has been lights out for us, and this week was no exception. He scored 4g and one assist in these four games for us. He was named 1st star for his hat-trick against Phoenix this week as well.

Unsung: Colby Armstrong - Colby really stepped up for us this week and he picked up one goal and 6 assists in the four games played. He was named third star once.

Goaltender: Miika Kiprusoff - Coming through this week Miika posted a .915 save percentage and was 3-1 for us. We sit 7th at this point and that is due in large part to the stellar play of our goaltender.

Rookie: Max Pacioretty 3gp 1g 0a 1pt +1
- was called up on an emergency basis and posted a goal and was +1 in 3 games last week.

Goalie: Carey Price - 2-1 , 2.33 gaa .930 save % 1st star and 3rd star.

Our only player to show up on a regular basis last week . Price stopped 93 out of 100 shots thrown his way in 3 games and stole 2 wins as he went 2-1 on the week. The team only scored a total of 7 goals in 3 games. Price earned a 1st and 3rd star honor in his wins.

Sabres had an average week 1-2-1 playing some tough competition and with several key injuries. nevertheless we want to highlight some key people

Player of the week Matt Stajan 2G 3A 5Pts +2, 1st star, 3rd star...people this is Matt frickin' Stajan, for now he's our first line C and he was twice picked one of the stars of the game. that's incredible

Unsung hero Slava Kozlov (60 OV) 3 G +1 4 PIM , TWO 3rd star selections- a good week for the 3rd line RW , twice garnering star selections while playing a physical game and scoring 3 key goals

Goalie Tuuka Rask. Ok only went 1-2-1 but he had 3 assists, a penalty and was 2nd star. that's more scoring and physical play then we got out of Dustin Penner in 2 months!
