I like Phillip Phillips. The girls are nothing special. I am sure a guy will win for sure this year.

I used to really enjoy Idol. I caught sporadic episodes on the first three seasons and from seasons 4-7 I watched every episode. The last three were pretty much terrible and there is zero chance I'd pay to see/listen to any of them.

The judges don't hold any power any more. Simon didn't care about being booed and he was able to influence the vote with his critique. Now all three won't say anything bad about anyone now that they are in the voting process. When Steven and Jennifer came on Randy did critique a little harder, but then he stopped because he didn't want to be the bad guy. Now they all say the same stuff over and over. I've caught 2 or 3 episodes this year, but mostly to see Baylie Brown come back. She bombed and deserved to go home. I don't think I'll watch anymore.

I enjoy The Voice of all the singing shows now. I like how the judges don't rip on each other like in X Factor and they truly see it as a chance to help someone make it big. In X Factor LA kept ripping Drew because he needed to help his guys get past her. I don't see that here.
