So my kids are watching some lame cartoon last night when on comes a commercial for the Mini Pop Kids. Sure...I remember cruising around Banff in the back of a station wagon, with no seat belts on of course, belting out some Mini Pops. The tapes were cool right up to about the same time that the Chipmunks became uncool. Fast forward 25 plus years and I hear that K-Tel is back at it with the Mini Pop Kids cranking out such hits as Cee Lo Green F...You. Thought I miss heard it on the commercial

. Look into it a bit further and all the songs keep the lyrics of the original songs and the kids are singing "boys wanna touch my junk junk....got plenty of beers...getting crunk crunk

More mature content that what we got to say the least.
Who are these CD's geared towards? Anyone buy these? Any unsuspecting grandparents pick up a Mini Pop CD for the little ones

Based on when I enjoyed these CDs I would say by the time you are 10 you should be done with these. Also most kids come home from Kindergarten with the F word but that is not the issue here. Why grind this stuff through their heads at such a young age. They get enough of it as it is.
Of course kids are going to seek out interesting music and I remember going through a phase in my mid teens where SNFU, Skinny Puppy and Dayglo Abortions filled this void. I also remember my friends Dad walking into the room and asking us, WHAT THE HECK IS THIS STUFF? We all looked at each other sheepishly and he proceeded to break the CDs into pieces. I respected that. Anyways....these aren't your Daddy's Mini Pops
