I'll assume you've got nothing in writing. I'd take it up with the neighbours since they hired the guy.

That and you could get your insurance company involved. They will investigate and go after the roofing company for the costs to repair things. I would imagine you have to repaint the stucco, if not scrape it and redo that section.

Sounds like your neighbours hired a real class act roofing company. Guy beside me did the same thing, their roofers just dumped all the crap from the roof right down. Of course when we called to have the remaining mess cleaned up, the guy was nowhere to be found.

Nail the doors shut from the outside, and burn their house down in the night. It's the only reasonable solution here.

Honestly, if it was through Sears, you're laughing. They couldn't have hired a better company for you to have an issue with. I would call Sears first thing Monday, and I am sure they will take care of you. I have never had an issue with Sears customer service. They always take care of mistakes.

The City will not get involved in such disputes between neighbours. This is a civil matter. Your options are to talk to your neighbours or the roofing contractor. If that leads you nowhere, lawyer up.

This sounds like a job Leah Williams-Doherty should expose. Seriously, it's been a while since I saw a fluffy story on a victim of corporate ######baggery.

Call Sears and complain. There's a good chance that the roofer doesn't get paid until 2 weeks after the job is completed because of things like this. They'll either fix it or compensate you.

Take photos - Having just built a new home, we had some similar issues with tradespeople. The good thing about Sears is that this should be able to be taken up a foodchain rather than dealing with some idiot contractor who will lie to you and hope you get tired and go away. I would show the neighbours the damage ASAP, and if they are worth their weight, they will be the ones to call Sears and get this sorted all sorted out.... although, I would still call Sears on Monday and bitch too.

Good luck.
