Ya- saw this earlier. There is some thought that this is nothing more than a sneak peak for some Ferris Bueller themed superbowl ad- hence the Feb 5, 2012 reference at the end. People are sceptical that an actual sequel is in the works as it would be difficult to conceal this from the entire movie industry up till now.
The only way that I would want to see this movie is if Ferris due to his schemes ends up getting rejected by every college in the country except for the Mudville institute of technology. He now works as an assistant night manager at Burger King, where he sweeps the floor and asks the teenagers where all the cool parties are at.
Cameren sadly went home to have that long talk with his dad and ended up blowing him away with his fathers favorite hunting rifle. Cam, then threw up violently on the floor and put the rifle in his mouth and ende the pain of his existance.
Meanwhile Sloan who had always gotten away with being the hot fun girl gets hooked on Coke and Meth in her college days, she ended up swinging around the pole until she turned 40 and her breast suddenly dropped to knee level. She now lives in a trailer in Alabama and is married to a alcholic long hall trucker named Jebidiah (Just call me Jeb)
On the other side of the coin, Jeanie Bueller went to an Ivy League School and became a powerful VP and changed her last name to Johnson and distanced herself from her family, she eventually married Boy in the Police Station but went full blown Lesbien when she caught him cheating with Sloane.
The movie is based around the accidental re-union of Sloan Ferris and Jeanie who return home to mourn the aniversary of Camerens's death.
However they all receive a note simply labelled "I know what you did" Eventually we find out that principal Rooney who went quite insane and ended up in prison for stalking is now hell bent on revenge for Bueller's day off, the last day that Rooney worked as a public educator.
In the middle of the movie Ferris mounts the stage at Sloans stip club at the Alabama legion and attempts to recapture his youth by performing twist and shout. He's shot in the right testical by an enraged Flash Jenkin's who was the garage attendant who lost his job for stealing the car and has been thirsting for revenge ever since.

"I used to think why don't they wait until Matthew and I are in our seventies and do Ferris Bueller Returns and have Cameron be in a nursing home.
'He doesn't really need to be there, but he just decided his life is over, so he committed himself to a nursing home. And Ferris comes and breaks him out. And they go to, like, a titty bar and all this ridiculous stuff happens. And then, at the end of the movie, Cameron dies."

Oh admit it Yeah Baby you'd be first in line to see it.
Your cool person veneer is thin and fragile
No, I'd be too busy watching classic Noir films at an art house theatre. Or discussing how Fitzgerald's relationship with his wife influenced all his book over coffee.
