Pretty solid class at MSU, currently ranked #31 by Rivals with two 4 star recruits. Larry thomas could be a beast at LB, 6'4" 235 and runs a 4.6, although he might need a year as his high school competition wasn't near his level. The fact that he turned down offers from the likes of Florida, USC and OSU is a good sign for the way the program is trending.

Top recruiting classes don't mean everything. Take ND as an example since they always use to get top classes, look at Florida, we've had great classes and STRUGGLED last year.
I'm more upset with Pagan kid that Bama got. He was a Florida commit and blew his knee out last year. While everyone pulled all offers away from him Meyer and Florida stood by the kid. When Florida struggled that turd bails out on the only school that stood by him in his darkest time.
Florida will have a top 25 class this year, not great compared to the last five years but we got the #1 QB (either scrambler or pro style) and a very good RB in Blakely that EE.

I'm still waiting on the Black Mamba's announcement but so far the Ducks class looks good. Tons of speed, and a lot of versatile players.

Tate Forcier to visit Kansas State, Washington, Arizona, Miami and Montana as possible schools to transfer to. Wouldn't he have to sit out a year at all but Montana?

Good, as if they need anything else to make their fan base more insufferable than it already is.

Pretty much sums up the situation perfectly. He'd really have to like one of those other schools to sit out a year of football. But as a Husky fan I wouldn't mind seeing him in U-Dub (although by that time Joe Montana's better son should be ready to start).

The Griz had better hope he chooses them. If not, McGhee is going to wear them out for the next three years.

That kid is a stud. Really would've loved to see them go a little deeper in the playoffs this year. At least the Nat'l Champion was a Big Sky team!

So, top rated recruit Jadeveon Clowney commits to South Carolina.
The old ball coach is doing some good things in Columbia.
If this kid is half as good as his hype and his ego, he should be a beauty.

Nate Montana enrolls in classes at the University of Montana today. Claims he will play for the name on the front, as well as the name on the back...

Auburn's Recruiting director Trooper Taylor is starting to come under heat (again and again) for his practices. This may be the one that gets him.

His little brother is the real talent though. Will be interesting to see if he can even take the starting job in Missoula.

So Ohio State has gone ahead and suspended Tressel for 2 games this upcoming season in a pre-emptive strike to try and massage the NCAA from doing worse to him.
I don't think it is gonna work since the players involved received 5 games and Tressel basically lied to the investigators which as a HC is not going to be viewed upon very well.
Perhaps as many as 6 games for the sweater wearer?
Quote:
Facing the biggest crisis of his career, Tressel never once apologized for knowingly breaking NCAA rules during a news conference on the Ohio State campus on Tuesday night. Worse, Tressel never owned up to not telling his bosses or NCAA investigators that he was aware that at least two of his players might have accepted improper benefits from the owner of a tattoo parlor in Columbus, Ohio.

I've always hated OSU, but I've always liked Tressel looks like that might be changing.

Honestly, the whole concealing the information and then lying about it when directly asked makes me think this should be a nuclear type reaction from the NCAA. It's one thing to act shady and then half ass fess up and apologize when you get caught, it's a whole different thing to hide things and then deny knowledge.
It's a good year to be playing at OSU in week 5 for my Spartans.
