Did you seriously sign up just for us to help you find a job?
I hate to do this... but...
No.
Some serious advice, start pounding the god damn pavement. The whole "it's really hard without a network" is total BS and just an excuse.

I'm gonna give the kid a pass on this one. Takes balls to do what he just did, it is not like he is trying to win a toaster oven or something, he wants to go to work. And in essence, he has taken a step to try and network, to strangers albeit.
I am going to echo the sentiments of the second post from MMF. I know things are different now than they were when I went to work, but when I was your age, I would print off 50 resumes, and start walking and handing them out until I was out. I have never gone more than 2 days without a job, except for when I chose to take a 6 month sabbatical and golf every day for that time.
I am still of the firm belief, that dropping a resume in person, has a much larger impact than "emailing it in". I will always give the guy who takes the time to get out more of a look, than someone ram firing resumes off their Macbook, with some post modern hipster template.
What type of job you looking for?
WHat is your salary expectation?
What is your field of study?
edit: also you got a pass for a very clever handle.... very cool.

Are you an ASET member? Are you willing to relocate?
Just a suggestion; do not profess that you will put the company before yourself, in most cases that is not true, and if it is true, you may have a low self worth. It comes off as puckering up, IMO.

Have you tried using the SAIT online job board? There's always lots of new job postings and the search is really good at narrowing it down to your specific field of work.

Thanks for all the info. I agree that putting my number online is not a good idea but I had to put it there as an alternative.
The junior position is a really nice find. I am applying now. I usually use Indeed.com to apply for jobs but online has a been tricky. As for hitting the pavement, I did that too but since I use transit, at times I have to take two buss's to get there and come home with no leads. I also use the Sait job board from time to time.
Sorry to post here in the forum, but this seemed like the right location. I did do my best to mingle including posting in other threads as well.

I got my current job through workopolis and it also yielded 3 interviews. The career alerts work great.

Some advice - when talking with potential employers don't use stuff like this to try and get hired. Anyone can say this - and most people do. It is basically the equivalent to hockey players talking about "playing the full 60" and the like - doesn't really mean much.
Employers want to know what makes you different from other candidates in tangible ways. That is difficult when you are starting your career but think back to even your part-time/student jobs and try to use those to talk about real-world examples of where you want above and beyond, achieved success, etc.
Good luck with the hunt!

How is posting with complete anonymity considered "balls"?
anyway, i managed to land a job after graduating in the spring only through persistence, working hard on a good resume and cover letter, and quantity.
Unfortunately, in the case of finding a job, i dont think it's quantity, or quality, but both. A good resume and cover letters combined with lots of applications makes for the best chances of landing something.
I will also give you sympathy points, because job hunting is probably one of the most frustrating tasks in the world. Dont worry though, the likelihood of you ending up a homeless bum is extremely low, might take some more time than others might take less.

Thanks. I got two job leads which landed me interviews within two weeks. That is much better than the two months prior to that where I got no interviews, but this again, this is purely a coincidence. Persistence plays a key, and so does skill sets. Even though I had reference for this one job, it did me no good as there were three other guys after me, and I was "overqualified" for the job which required me to assemble. In either case, I don't mind as it was on the far end of SE when I live in NW.
The other job, I will get my second interview with XSensor this Wednesday. The agency is backing me up as well arranging the interview, so I have my fingers crossed. As Young-Sneezy said, persistence is key. It also motivates you to step out of your comfort zone as you approach desperation.

that's a good sentiment, but unless you plan on being a CEO someday, you shouldn't do that.
