Damn mothers who lost their kids, husbands, relatives to selfish and totally preventable accidents!

Seriously, You drink, I don't want you to drive. No lambasting of an ex-president of MADD will change my mind on that. Maybe we should focus on why you feel the need to consume multiple drinks (cause that is what it takes to go .05 and up) before getting behind the wheel and putting all our lives at risk?

Seriously, why do you hate democracy?

The OP clearly and concisely stated he feels the need to drink multiple drinks every time he gets behind the wheel, no matter how far he is going. So?

Its like the old attitude towards prohibition. They wanted to calm things down; 'but its okay for us to drink, its just not okay for you to drink because you cant handle it.'

I'm sure you didn't mean it that way and I'm not picking on you, but I don't find this humourous funny. I know someone who lost his wife to a drunk driver. Drinking and driving is serious business and should not be tolerated.

Thats what the president of MADD said. And then she got sauced and went for a joy ride.

Want to take her word for something else?

I'm pretty sure he was talking about the irony in the situation, not that drinking and driving is funny.

Yeah, I know, hence the comment about that not being what was meant. My point was this is serious business. I hope the offender is treated harshly.
