Confessions from a Boxing Day Line.
Thought I'd post this up to keep me occupied while I wait here in line outside of Best Buy.
Share whatever you like! I will likely focus on the different type of annoying people that make up Boxing Day lines.
"The Talker" - feels the need to chat with everyone around them. Typically seem to be in love with the sound of their own voice.
"The Updater" - feels they are responsible for walking from one side of the line to the other and let everyone know that they are currently is a very long line. Usually a child.
"The Early Birds" - Have enough gear and supplies with them they could easily be a squatter.
"The Angry Birds" - people who seem genuinely furious at how long the line is but won't take any blame for why they are so far back.

Boxing Day sales can be amazing. I still use my Polk Audio speakers I bought for 75% off in 2003.

Never found something I couldn't buy 3 months later for the same price. I agree that your speakers might be DA BOMB, but you woulda got them the same price without the lineup.

I used to love boxing day, but now that I'm no longer a poor starving university student; boxing day is pretty much dead to me. I'll gladly pay $50 more to preserve my sanity and avoid all the crazies.

Not really a Boxing Day sales guy either, and wasn't planning on going today. But I can't sleep and got a couple HBC gift cards for Jesusmas, and there's a store 5min from here, which opened at 7. May go check it out, pray for Mojo...

I always thought there would be money to be made by lining up real, real early at some of the hot spots and then selling my place in line to a latecomer who was real keen.

Pointless... The real jerks just mingle around the front when the doors open, pretending to wait until the line goes in, then just wander in when they think people aren't paying attention.
Was at Best Buy this morning, it was painless. The line starts and it's quick if you know what you want you can be in and out fast. I got a new Tv and was out the door at 6:10. The person I was with wasn't done so I went back on, got some games and found a small line and check out off to the side and was done fast again.

I have never shopped on Boxing Day. I did buy a TV online at Future Shop when their online sale started on Christmas Eve. I imagine that there are bigger deals to be had, but I knew what I wanted, didn't want to deal with lining up, got a good price online, and it gets delivered to my door for free.

I was in line at visions at 5:05 am, doors were open at 6:00 and was out of there by 6:30. When I got in the line it was around the corner but I was in and out fast.

I'm going to Petro Canada to see if I can get my gas and my sports select for 50% off or something.

Picked up my last gift for myself online last night. I don't think I will ever line up for boxing day again.
