Default IT BEGINS!!! The I hate Christmas Music Thread

Radio at work, at the grocery store... everywhere playing the same damn Christmas songs over and over. I have never enjoyed Christmas music. To me it almost ruins the holidays for me.

Working in a Mall it is constant exposure.

In future I think I will take off on holidays for the month leading up to Christmas.

I don't hate Christmas Music.

I hate the fact that everyone covers the some songs over and over again. Write some new Christmas music!

One year, "Winter Wonderland" will drive me into a murderous rage.

As in constantly on Lite 96, Country 105 etc. and all those other stations that are played over loud speakers.

I'm in the group that generally can't stand christmas music (hell, I don't even like christmas, to be truthful). But now that I'm married and have a kid on the way, I've got to deal with it. As long as someone does something NEW and INTERESTING with the songs they're less offensive. Check this one out:

I like Christmas music...not all of it but some is really good. I can't stand malls and shops using Christmas music to convince people to spend money though. Christmas is about something much bigger than simply spending money to me.

5 years in retail was enough for me.

Christmas music on Christmas, that's all I can take.

My wife listens to (and hums and sings) Christmas music all year long. I don't let her play it at home, but she plays it in her office all the time. I'm sure her co-workers think she's crazy.

Worst Christmas song ever: Its a Marshmallow World

That song makes me crazy, and yet it seems to be the one I hear the most every year.

How is it any different than hearing the latest Black Eyed Peas, or Lady Gaga song everywhere you go, every 15 mins on every Radio station, in every mall and to make every new TV show hip. You either like the music or you don't.

I for one Kinda like it. It reminds me of being a kid at home with Family, who I don't see enough of these days.

Because those songs have not been playing for every day of a month for my life. After a few weeks they go away and I rarely ever hear them again. Christmas music, AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

Christmas puts me in the mood to listen to jazz music. Not sure why.
