I don't know if anybody else here works downtown, but what information is out there regarding getting out of the core? I'm hearing that you should leave before 4:30 or have to wait until after 5:30.

I do - I'd like to know the best time to get out of the core so I'm not held up.

I guess I should have been more clear that I was looking for information as to getting home, not when to leave to go see her.

She's in the Saddledome now and then going straight to the airport (I think). The CBCers mentioned that this event would take "a couple hours" and it's been on half-an-hour now.

Don't know if that helps. Seems to me that she shouldn't be blocking up downtown if she's in the Dome watching the Young Canadians prance about.

From what I've heard, you are correct about the pre 4:30/Post 5:30, but I'm pretty sure that pretains only to driving. So if you take the train you should be okay.

I work pretty close to City Hall and didn't run into too much trouble as I managed to leave early at 4:00. Others have had problems leaving East of Downtown when leaving around 4:00 but I guess all is well now.

I don't know how the transit situation worked out though.
