I believe in the Pony Power

Man I'm an idiot. I just realized I've had Huet in net for the past month. I changed him out for a game and never changed him back. Though his stats aren't bad.
Needless to say i won't be nominating Corey Schneider for ROM

Defenseman: Christian Ehrhoff. 15 GP, 7 Pts, +8, won a fight, one first star, 16 shots blocked
Goalie: Ryan Miller
with MTL: 6-3 record, 1 shutout, 2.11 GAA, 0.929 SV%, 2 first stars, 1 third star

Total: 10-4-1 record, 1 shutout, 2.06 GAA, 0.935 SV%, 3 first stars, 1 second star, 1 third star
Why did I trade this guy? Must have taken crazy pills that day.
Honorable mention to Alexandre Semin, whose latter half of the month would have put him in contention if not overshadowed by playing the first half with Dallas.

Pens nominees:
Player: Patrick Kane 16gp 7g 7a 14pts even
- was the hottest sniper on the Pens and scored many key goals over a rough month for the team.
Defenseman: Nik Lidstrom 16gp 3g 6a 9pts -4 27 shot blocks, played close to 27mins/game.
-Played huge minutes in all situations. Continues to be the teams leader and provides a stabilizing force on the back end. While playing all these minutes he took just 1 minor penalty all month.
Goalie: Carey Price 7wins 7 losses 2.36gaa .926 save % 3 1st stars, 1 2nd star
-Pretty well kept this team in every game. The offense was non existent, but Price stepped up huge and stole games all by himself. It was a bad month for the Pens, but would have been a disaster without Price.
Rookie: PK Subban 16gp 0g 5a 5pts even; averaged 18:35min/game.
- Subban showed veteran poise as a rookie as he was asked to fill in multiple roles over the month while the team dealt with injuries. Whether it was 1st pairing or 3rd pairing PK was up to the task.

Rookie: Matt Duchene - 13gp 7g, 3a with a 1st star, 2nd star and 3rd star nomination. Not bad for a second liner on a team currently out of the playoffs!

Chicago's nominees
Player - Zach Parise - 9G, 10 A, 19P with 77 SOG, 31 hits, and 8 blocked shots. By far the best player on the team this month.
Defensemen - Andrew Ference - 3 P, +2, 16 shots, 22 hits, 12 SB and 10 TA. Plus, he was the only Defenseman on the entire team this month to end up as a +. Good job, Andrew.
Goalie - How about no? Abysmal. Horrible. These are words I use to describe both my SV% and GAA.
Rookie - Erik Karlsson - 2G, 9A, 11P, -1 (-1 is good for a Hawks defenseman), and also had 24 shots, 7 hits, and 13 blocked shots while adding 10 takeaways. Really the best rookie on the team, which is surprising given Skinner's high profile (and he had 9 points despite serving a suspension and missing most of one game with a misconduct). Keep in mind that Karlsson had 11 points as a Defenseman, not a forward. Not too shabby.
Unsung - Steve Downie - Downie was quietly one of the most consistent players on the team this month. He chipped in with an impressive 3G and 4A for 7 P while being the forward with the best +/- on the team with a +2 rating. He also added both offense and defense, getting a whopping 57 shots on goal and adding 26 hits while blocking 8 shots. And he accomplished all this as a 62 OV player while spending most of his time on the 4th line.
