Default LF - Resume writer

After many years of self-employment, I will be venturing into the world of employment again and its been a long time since I've had to prepare a resume.

The one I have is pretty "old school" and I am looking at getting one done up professional with a modern look and feel to it.

Is there any one out there that does this kind of work or can someone direct me to a company that they have had some success with?

thanks

Did you go to university? Some universities allow free consultations on resume writing and such for their Alumni; I know UWO does at least.

I will suggest google some online resumes and steal some of their bullet points and then customize them. It will help capture the keywords recruiters are looking for.

I highly recommend Joy Cohen; "I Need a Resume Now" www.ineedaresumenow.ca

I had been looking for work.....no, scratch that.
I was looking for my next great career. There were "jobs" I could have settled for.

Either way I had been looking from Oct 2010 to March 2011; getting very few interviews and no offers. In April I retained Joy for her services.

I had an old school (styling) resume, which covered facts but really said very little about me. She helped me focus my resume and showed me how to target my cover letters.

I landed more and better interviews within the first four weeks of using my revamped resume and cover letter techniques. By first part of June I had two offers to consider and started my new position June 15th.

My only regret.....wish I would have done it sooner.
